New Energy City Bus Purchases Accounted for 98% of Total Purchases in H1 2019

In the first half of this year, the city bus purchases reached 1.6 billion RMB. The number of new energy city buses purchased accounted for 98% of the total city bus purchases.

From http://www.ccgp.gov.cn, it is revealed that from April to June this year, the total purchasing value of city buses reached 1,044,295,300 RMB, significantly higher than the purchasing value in the first quarter of this year, which stood at 578,611,100 RMB.

From January to June this year, the total purchasing value of city buses stood at 1,622,906,400 RMB, up by 29.54% year on year.

Also in the first half of this year, only one bus operator, Jiangsu Xinghua Public Transport Co., Ltd. made a purchase of 50 units diesel powered city buses with a total value of 10.9 million RMB, accounting for only 2% of the total number of bus purchases.

New energy city buses are strongly favored by customers across the nation. Shandong Weihai Nanhai New Area Public Transport Co., Ltd. bought 12 units hybrid city buses with a total value of 5.7576 million RMB. Henan Nanyang Public Transport Co., Ltd. bought 72 units fuel cell buses with a total value of 86.40 million RMB from Jinhua Youngman Automobile-Manufacturing Co., Ltd. With the fast growing popularity of electric buses, the demand for recharging facilities and battery rental services has also been on a fast rise. While purchasing 12 units electric city buses, Kashi Transport & Transportation Bureau also bought 28 recharging posts and one recharging station.

Another highlight is that 33 city bus orders exceeded 10 million RMB in value, accounting for half of the total bus orders. Among all bus orders, three exceeded 100 million RMB in value.

Sunlong, Yutong, and Golden Dragon all delivered impressive performances in the first half of this year. Sunlong, won three bus orders with a total value of 471,025,600 RMB, ranking the first place in the market. Yutong won 17 bus orders with a total value of 308,618,600 RMB, ranking the second place. Golden Dragon received bus orders with a total value of 15,9390,800 RMB, ranking the third place in the market.

Apart from Golden Dragon, three other bus brands of Xiamen King Long Automobile Group Co., Ltd., namely Xiamen King Long (four bus orders with a total value of 73.606 million RMB), Higer (three bus orders with a total value of 29.943 million RMB) and Nanjing King Long (one bus order with a total value of 13.44 million RMB) all delivered impressive performances in the second quarter of this year.
