Yutong Tang Yuxiang: Accelerating the application of intelligent driving in urban rapid transit and sanitation

In 2019, the two national conferences have officially kicked off. Tang Yuxiang, deputy of the National People's Congress and president of Zhengzhou Yutong Group Co., Ltd., presented two proposals in the two sessions of this year: "Accelerating the Intelligent Driving in the Urban Rapid Transit and Environmental Sanitation Field Demonstration Project" and "Accelerating the Promotion of Advantageous Equipment Manufacturing Industry."

Tang Yuxiang believes that the development of intelligent driving is of great significance to the promotion of national science and technology, economy, society, life, safety and comprehensive national strength. From the current technological development point of view, smart driving has already been promoted and applied in the two public service areas of urban public transportation and sanitation vehicles.

At present, enterprises still have three major obstacles in promoting the application of intelligent driving in urban public transportation and sanitation vehicles.

First of all, the policy support for demonstration operations is not enough to effectively promote the demonstration application of smart driving in BRT BRT.

Secondly, the overall cost of intelligent driving BRT rapid transit and new energy intelligent driving sanitation vehicle system is relatively high, and the investment in demonstration application is huge. It is difficult to achieve results by relying on enterprises.

Finally, there is a lack of insurance regulations for the demonstration operation of smart-drive vehicles.

In this regard, Tang Yuxiang put forward four suggestions:

It is recommended to clearly demonstrate the operation of cities and demonstration areas at the national level, provide demonstration operation policy support, build new intelligent urban and chemical road transportation facilities and other major projects, establish a demonstration route for intelligent public transportation and roadway cooperation technology, and carry out intelligent public transportation in phases. Cooperate with the vehicle road to demonstrate operation, formulate demonstration application promotion plan, and expand the number of intelligent network bus demonstration areas and applications year by year.
